As an illustrator, movement in visual artwork is a newer passion of mine. Although the theme of most of my animations are experimental, I stay true to my passion for 2D illustration. I want viewers to feel a sense of connection, nostalgia, or shared experience as opposed to watching a developed storyline or plot.

“Ode to New York” is a 2D digitally animated film, inspired by life in New York City. All scenes were illustrated using reference images taken by myself, and the audio includes sounds from my live images, or recordings.
This animation is meant for viewers to get a glimpse of someone’s personal life in the city. Viewers have the sense of watching theses memories, and following along these captured experiences through the eyes of the camera.
